Within Mainstream, the Financial Services Industry (FSI) team delivers specialized services for banks and financial institutions looking to modernize their critical applications and move beyond legacy systems through secure and scalable cloud solutions. Our dedicated banking team brings strong expertise in financial applications, supporting clients from cloud migration to ongoing application and operational support.
Our FSI team continues to grow, we are looking for an Application Support Specialist who will help ensure the stability and performance of applications used by leading banks and financial institutions.
Implementation, administration, support, and maintenance of middleware applications and third-party applications to enable communication between financial applications across different platforms and interfaces
Responsibility for installation, maintenance, and configuration of JBOSS, Tomcat, Apache, AMQ, and other similar environments
Performing system administration for JBOSS, AMQ, and related systems, including troubleshooting, monitoring, incident resolution, system security, and implementation of changes
Working independently or as part of a team on various system projects related to Linux, Windows, and application support
Providing system support, including on-call support outside of regular working hours when required
Planning, preparing, and implementing solutions, as well as applying maintenance upgrades for applications within scope
Job requirements
2+ years of experience in middleware/application operations or system administration (preferred)
Hands-on experience with Linux (Windows is a plus) and app/middleware platforms (JBoss/WildFly, Tomcat, Apache, AMQ/ActiveMQ)
Experience with monitoring, troubleshooting, incident resolution, and implementing changes/updates
Good understanding of basic system security and operational best practices
Docker knowledge required; Kubernetes/OpenShift is a strong plus
Advanced English and strong communication & organizational skills
Availability for passive on-call support, as required
